Christian Faith Financial

I was a bit disturbed by this piece of spam I received for a website called Christain Faith Financial offering "CASH ADVANCE LOANS", "NO CREDIT CHECKS", and "GET MONEY NOW".

First of all, perhaps this is just some sleazy company trying to take advantage of people's Christian faith. Maybe they offer borderline legal and quasi-ethical loans with very high interest rates. That would be bad enough.

But even supposing that this is a legitimate financial enterprise, I find it dubious for them to use Christianity as their selling point. I don't remember anything in the bible about offering sketchy financial services to your fellow man.

Even without knowing much about this company, I think is is safe to say that Jesus would be ashamed.

This company appears very shady to me, for several reasons...

1) Their site is not secure. It does not use SSL encryption (https://)! This alone is enough reason to never use them. If you type in your bank account, driver's license#, etc., it will be visible to any potential hackers.

2) This company offers no substance. All they do is send your information to other companies offering loans (and get paid for the referral). You could apply for the loans directly without using Christian Faith Financial.

3) This company is promoting Payday loans, which are one of the worst kinds of loans. The interest rates are HUGE. They target low-income folks who are desperate for cash. Very un-Christian.

4) Other than the name, I do not see any evidence that this company does anything Christian. They will not bail you out when you default on a loan. They do not offer lower interest rates loans. They are really praying on the needy, not helping them.
